ABOUT THE EVENT / What is the Great British Radio Reunion?

The Great British Radio Reunion is a special event in London’s West End to celebrate the stars and personalities of British radio throughout the years.

Taking place for the first time on 17th January 2016, the event saw some of the best-loved names in broadcasting from your favourite stations including Radio 1, Radio 2, Capital 194, Luxembourg & sixties pop pirates reunited.

Highlights included star name interviews, a celebrity pop quiz, Kid Jensen’s Big Interview with Martin Fry from ABC and our special live music feature “Ghosts of the Playlist” showcasing some of Britain’s biggest but now nearly forgotten radio hits, with performances by Tina Charles, Brother Beyond, Mungo Jerry, Jigsaw, Billie Davis, Clem Curtis of the Foundations, Linda Lewis and many, many more.

Following the sad passing of Ed “Stewpot” Stewart just a week before the event was due to take place, the gathering provided the ideal opportunity for a special tribute to be paid to this unforgettable radio legend and for his former friends and colleagues to celebrate his life.

The Great British Radio Reunion is a must-attend event for all radio presenters, disc jockeys, record pluggers and radio industry professionals both past and present. Members of the public are also welcome. News on a date for next year to follow shortly…
